COFCOFISHING EXPEDITIONS

Sportfishing in Bahía Solano, Colombian Pacific

This is not a tour. This is a real expedition.

Offshore and inshore fishing expeditions in remote Colombian Pacific waters, designed and led by Julián Quintana.

COFCO runs sportfishing expeditions out of Bahía Solano, in the department of Chocó, on Colombia's Pacific coast. Julián Quintana, a captain with 13+ years on these waters, runs COFCO and designs every expedition in advance. The operation is registered with Colombia's National Tourism Registry under number 245339.

We work with small groups and say honestly what each season can deliver. The Colombian Pacific fishing calendar breaks into five seasons and none of them is good for everything: we never promise what the ocean cannot give.

Why COFCO

We are not an agency. We are anglers.

COFCO is a direct sportfishing operation in Bahía Solano: we do not resell third-party slots or subcontract the guiding.

Decisions made on the water

We do not follow rigid itineraries. Every decision comes from reading the ocean conditions and the behaviour of the fish that day: when to move, when to wait and where to look.

No fuel limits

When a trophy fish means running far, we run far. We do not cut a trip short to save fuel.

Maximum 2 groups at a time

A limited, controlled operation with small groups on board. This is not mass tourism and we do not want it to be.

Ethical fishing

We practise catch and release with responsible handling. The experience is not measured in dead trophies.
