Fishing seasons in Bahía Solano, Colombian Pacific

The fishing year in Bahía Solano breaks into five seasons. None of them is good for everything, and saying so is part of how we work.

There is no single "best time" to fish the Colombian Pacific: there is a best time for the species you want. Currents, water temperature and the sardine migration shift through the year, and what you can catch shifts with them. This is the real calendar, season by season.

Why we do not say every month is peak season

Many operators describe the Colombian Pacific as a year-round peak destination. It is not.

Between July and October the coast fills with humpback whales and that is the draw, not peak fishing. Anyone arriving in September expecting marlin leaves disappointed. We would rather say so before you buy the flight.
