Why fish with COFCO in the Colombian Pacific

The difference between an agency and a direct operation shows the day the ocean changes. An agency sold an itinerary and needs to deliver it. A direct operation decides on the water what makes sense that day.

COFCO runs a maximum of 2 groups at a time and small groups per boat. That limit is not a marketing stance: it is what lets Julián personally design every expedition and keeps anyone from waiting their turn on the rod.

When a trophy fish means running far, we run far. We do not cut a trip short to save fuel, and that is one of the few things we promise without qualification.

We practise catch and release with responsible handling. The goal is for the fish to go back in the water able to survive; the experience is not measured in dead trophies.

And we tell the truth about the seasons, even when it costs a booking. The Colombian Pacific calendar has five seasons and none of them works for everything.
