How to get to Bahía Solano from Medellín

Bahía Solano has no road access. You get there by air from Medellín in about 35 minutes. Here is the full logistics, leg by leg.

  1. 1

    International flight to Medellín

The entry point is José María Córdova International Airport (MDE) in Rionegro, an hour from Medellín. International flights are not included in the expedition.

  2. 2

    Night in Medellín

Flights to Bahía Solano leave early in the morning, so an overnight in Medellín on arrival is almost always needed. For international travellers, that hotel night and transfers within the city are covered.

  3. 3

    Domestic flight to Bahía Solano

The leg takes about 35 minutes and departs from Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH), inside the city. For international travellers, this flight is covered. The baggage limit is stricter than on a normal commercial flight, so it is best to travel light.

  4. 4

Arrival and transfer to the hotel

We meet you at Bahía Solano airport and take you to the hotel. Accommodation in Bahía Solano and all transfers on site are covered for everyone. From there, the trip logistics are on us.

  5. 5

Return and extra night in Medellín

On the way back you take the domestic flight from Bahía Solano to Medellín and spend another night there before your international flight. This is deliberate: a delay on the domestic flight or from the weather will not make you miss your connection home. For international travellers, that domestic flight and that second hotel night are also covered.
